The DPS will need to kill the adds to keep the boulder from being broken, then return to the boss to continue damaging him. The first boulder will always be destroyed by the boss (this cannot be prevented), and will allow reinforcements to spawn, which will attempt to break the second boulder. When the boss nears half health, he will begin to run to two large boulders in the room, and begin attacking them. Gyges himself has relatively few mechanics, though a frontal cone AoE attack can cause a great deal of damage to the unwary if they are struck by it. The final battle of Copperbell Mines is completed by utilizing a great deal of control over the adds that spawn throughout the fight. Note, the explosion from the blasting cap will kill any player caught in its radius as well, so it must be avoided. Note, the blasting cap and the Ire itself (with exception of the final incarnation when it has split into 8 pieces) should not be attacked by anyone except the tank, and only then to hold threat during the fight. The only mechanic change mid-fight is that spriggans will spawn and attempt to kill the blasting cap, so those adds must be killed by the DPS to win the fight. As Copperbell is based in Ul'dah's zones, the enemies within will be similar to those outside.
